Peter started supporting the NSPCC when he appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. He has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for them over the last few years and in 2011, Peter was awarded with their special award marking the fact that he had raised over £250,000.
Peter became an ambassador for this special children’s charity several years ago and has been a regular at the fundraising balls and events for the children ever since.
Health Improvement Project Zanzibar:
Peter became the ambassador for HIPZ in 2012 after his close friend and founder of the charity Dr Ruraigh Macdonagh asked for his help. In February, Peter visited the poverty stricken country and watched two children die in front of his eyes. Ever since he has been working hard to raise much needed funds to transform the healthcare system over there. He even played Channel 4′s Deal Or No Deal for the charity.
